How Yemeksepeti verification works

A Yemeksepeti account is tied directly to a phone number; there is no email-only sign-up. When you enter a number on the sign-up form a Yemeksepeti verification code is sent to it and the account is matched to that number. The number also acts as a sign-in credential, so a code may be requested instead of a password on later logins.

Because Yemeksepeti serves the Turkish market, its number pool is far narrower than that of international platforms. The country count on this page is read from live inventory and is lower than on our other service pages; that is normal and it moves during the day with stock.

How to get a Yemeksepeti number

  1. Create your account and add credit.
  2. Pick Yemeksepeti from the service list and one of the listed countries.
  3. The number is reserved instantly. Enter it on the sign-up form with the country code and no leading zero.
  4. Read the code from the panel and type it into the form.

The flow normally takes a minute or two. Rather than waiting when nothing arrives, cancelling and trying another number from the list is faster; a cancelled number is refunded to your balance.

Why is the country list so short?

Yemeksepeti does not work with every international SMS provider. Codes only travel over certain carriers, which is why the country count here is far below what you see on our WhatsApp or Telegram pages.

Every country in the list is one that can actually issue a number right now. A country that looks empty in the morning may have stock in the afternoon; the table is re-read on every page load.

Orders and delivery

Once the account is verified, a courier or restaurant may want to contact you when you order. A virtual number does not accept incoming calls; it only receives SMS. If you are going to take a real delivery, your own reachable number is the right choice.

The practical route is this: open the account with a virtual number, then update the contact number in account settings to your own line. That clears the sign-up step without sharing your personal number and keeps you reachable at delivery time.

What happens to the account once the number is gone?

The single-use number returns to the pool after the code arrives. The account keeps working while your session stays open. But you will need the number again if you delete and reinstall the app, change phones, or the platform runs a security re-verification, and you will not be able to recover the account without it.

So an account opened with a single-use number is for short-term use. For an account you intend to order from regularly, move it to your own number after verification.

Account and promotion rules

Yemeksepeti has its own membership agreement covering promotion and discount use. Consequences of use that breaks those rules are subject to the platform own enforcement; a virtual number does not change them.

Using new-member promotions across multiple accounts may be against the platform rules. Our service solves the verification step; complying with the platform terms of use is the user responsibility.

Legal and safe use

A virtual number is for signing up without sharing your personal line or completing a short-lived verification. Opening accounts in someone else name, fraud and spam are against our terms of use and grounds for closing your account.

Messages sent to the number are visible only in your own session; once the transaction ends the number returns to the pool and past messages cannot be retrieved.

Groceries and other order types

Yemeksepeti is not restaurant orders alone; the grocery and quick-delivery services run through the same account. The verification step is shared across all of them, so once the account has been verified you can use every order type without asking for a second code.

Grocery orders come with a narrower delivery window and courier contact is needed more often. If you plan to place them regularly, putting your own number on the account is close to compulsory.

Payment method and billing details

Adding a card and entering billing details are independent of number verification; once the account is verified, no SMS is requested for either step.

Your bank may ask for a 3D Secure confirmation while the card is being added. That code goes to the number registered to the card, not to the number on the account. A virtual number plays no part in this step, so the line your card is tied to has to be in your hands.

Why do some numbers never receive the code?

Local platforms sometimes have messages to foreign numbers filtered at carrier level. This does not mean the number is faulty; it only means that route is not working at that moment.

The fix is straightforward: try the next country down the list. Because a cancelled number is refunded to your balance, making several attempts costs nothing.

Common error messages

  • "This number is already registered" — the line has been attached to an account before. Cancel and take a new one.
  • "Too many attempts" — this appears when codes are requested for the same number repeatedly in a short window. Continuing with a different number is faster.
  • No code on screen — check that you entered the number with the country code and without a leading zero.

Single-use number or rented number?

If you only need to get the account open, a single-use number is enough. On an account you will really be ordering from, courier contact enters the picture and a virtual number does not answer incoming calls.

That is why a rented number is not the answer here either: the problem is the call itself, not how long you hold the line. Opening the account with a single-use number and then setting your own line in the account settings is the correct flow. Country-by-country prices are in the price list.

What makes Yemeksepeti prices move?

The only thing that sets the price is carrier cost. If numbers from a country are cheap, carrying a short message there is cheap. That cost shifts during the day, which is why the table is re-read on every page load.

Because local platforms accept a narrow set of countries, price movement here is more noticeable than on international services. You can compare what other platforms run at on our virtual number page.
