Hinge verification

Hinge starts its registration flow directly with a phone number; there is no email option. A six-digit code is sent to the number and the account is paired with it.

How to get a number

  1. Add credit and open the panel.
  2. Pick the Hinge service, then the country.
  3. Enter the number in the app with its country code.
  4. Read the code from the panel and type it into the app.

Why is the country list shorter?

Hinge operates in a limited number of countries and its verification does not accept every country number. The country count on this page is read from live inventory and is shorter than on our general platform pages; this is expected.

Matches and location

Hinge shows profiles by location. Taking a foreign number does not change the region you are shown in; location is determined by your device settings.

If you plan to keep the account

The number is single-use. If Hinge asks you to verify again when you sign in from a new device, you will not have access to it. Bear that in mind for long-term use.

If the code never arrives

If the window closes without a code, the transaction is cancelled and the fee is credited back to your balance.
